About Alex ten Napel and his work

 

Alex ten Napel is a renowned photographer based in Amsterdam. His photo art has been exhibited extensively worldwide in photo galleries and art fairs in London, Paris, New York, Miami, Berlin, Moscow, and more.

Paris Photo, the largest and most famous photography art fair in the world, showed the Water Portraits series in 2005 and 2006. The photo art fair nominated a Water Portrait for the Paris Photo Prize in 2006.

The National Portrait Gallery in London also nominated a Water Portrait for the Photographic Portrait Prize in 2006.

In 2023 the Hens and Roosters series was published by National Geographic and the publication received a gold medal in the SPD (The Society of Publication Designers) Awards 59 in 2024.
